1 .In a large bowl combine oil, lemon,
wine, garlic, bay leaves, salt,
pepper and oregano.
2 .Mix well and add the meat.
3. Cut the green peppers into one 1
inch squares, add them to the
marinade.
4. Add onion wedges to marinate.
5. Marinate for 24 hours.
6. Allow 1 skewer per person. Divide
all the ingredients equally between
six skewers and thread a piece of
meat, pepper, onion, and then
repeat.
7. Grill or broil the souvlakia for
15 minutes or until cooked, While
grilling, frequently baste with the
marinade. Souvlakia is served on a
bed of rice or with French fries.
